Your focus as Kitchen Assistant is tosupport the catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring a high quality and comprehensive service is delivered to residents.
Other responsibilitieswillinclude:
Understanding the principles of safe food handling, to ensure all food preparations undertaken in the kitchen is to the highest standards of hygiene. Contributingfully to team working, responding positively tocolleagues,and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly. Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods. Actingaccordingly towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.

Our ideal candidatemust:
Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate anddemonstrateshigh standardsof personal hygiene. Have theknowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments. Be an efficient worker, capable ofa high levelof sustained physical effort and able torespond to a demandingworkload. Demonstrate initiative and display a positive and flexible aptitude to team working. Exhibit a caring andunderstanding attitude towards the residents.

Qualifications Essential
The ideal candidate must hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene, and have knowledge of Health and Safety, including Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments. Efficiency, physical stamina, a positive team-working attitude, and a caring attitude toward residents are also essential.
