About this role
Position Overview
This temporary position serves as general backup support to the full-time operations staff. The role involves a wide range of responsibilities including general maintenance, product handling, equipment operation, facility upkeep, and crop sampling and evaluation. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and willing to assist across multiple operational areas as needed.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with inbound and outbound Agronomy productsOperate and maintain equipment and drive company vehicles as requiredEnsure compliance with all company and safety policiesAssist with maintenance and repair of facility equipmentMaintain facility grounds, including mowing, weed control, and general housekeepingCollect and process samples for crop evaluation and recordkeepingCommunicate daily activities, needs, and accomplishments to the Location ManagerPrepare and maintain accurate records in accordance with company quality standards and regulatory requirementsAssist in measuring and monitoring inventory levels of dry fertilizer, NH3, UAN, and other chemicalsServe as a backup to Applicators as needed Commercial Applicator License (preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment if not already held)Strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management and organizational abilitiesDemonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skillsPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-oriented mindsetAbility to work extended or flexible hours during busy seasonal periodsKnowledge of agricultural products, practices, and territory is an assetAcceptable driving record and valid driver’s licensePhysical Requirements
Ability to bend, climb in and out of trucks, and perform hands-on tasksMust be able to lift 40 lbs or more unassistedWork may be performed outdoors and in varying weather conditions Position is temporary, full-time Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lafayette, IN are encouraged to apply.
