About this role
We are seeking three Employability Tutors to join our Study Programme Delivery Team. This role involves delivering high-quality, face-to-face teaching to learners aged 16–18 during term time. Delivery will take place in Dartford (DA1 1RT) and Gravesend (DA12 2HU), with potential provision in Sheppey. We welcome applications from those across the southeast of England.
This is an excellent opportunity for committed educators to support young people in developing the skills, confidence and behaviours needed to progress into further education, employment or training. The anticipated start date is 1 September 2026.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging employability sessions tailored to individual learner needs Manage a caseload of learners, providing guidance and support to ensure successful completion Assess learner progress using a range of methods and provide timely, constructive feedback Identify and report additional learning needs to support learner achievement and funding compliance Embed English and maths within teaching, working collaboratively with Functional Skills tutors Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records in line with internal procedures Monitor progress, address barriers to learning, and support timely completion of assessments Contribute to learner progress reviews with relevant colleagues Plan and deliver schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources Prepare learners for assessments in line with internal, awarding body and ESFA requirements Promote safeguarding, British Values, Prevent, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
Person Specification
Essential:
Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or Level 3 Award in Education & Training) and/or an Assessor qualification (e.g. CAVA, TAQA, A1 or equivalent) - we can provide training for either a teaching or assessing qualification, so long as you hold one. Minimum Level 2 English and mathematics Experience delivering employability or vocational training within post-16 education Knowledge of assessment practices, including formative and summative methods Strong communication, organisational and ICT skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Commitment to safeguarding and promoting learner welfare
Desirable:
Experience working with Study Programmes or similar provision
