Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join Agincare as a Senior Care Assistant at their Sedgemoor care home in Weston-Super-Mare. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing person-centred care to residents, ensuring their needs are met, and actively promoting their independence and choice.
Main duties of the job As a Senior Care Assistant at Agincare, you will be responsible for providing personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and oral care, within their preferences. You will contribute to and carry out care reviews to ensure residents' plans reflect their needs, and you will administer residents' medication in a safe and supportive manner. Additionally, you will lead and participate in social activities and trips out within the home, and you may be called upon to support new starters or existing staff with shadowing and development, or to lead the home when more senior managers are not available.

Person-centred care - You will ensure that residents receive personal care from you and your team including bathing, dressing and oral care within their preferences, and actively promote right to choice and independence Review -You will contribute to and carry out care reviews with your residents to ensure their plans reflect their needs. Qualifications Essential
You will need a minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK and an NVQ Level 3 - Health and Social Care qualification or be working towards it. You must also be flexible to work 48 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
