Role Description

Your opportunity:

Provide legal support by researching and analyzing applicable laws, regulations, and internal procedures across multiple jurisdictions. Support the assessment of legal matters across different areas, including contracts, privacy, corporate, and regulatory topics. Conduct privacy impact assessments and support the implementation of privacy and data protection best practices. Support the Contract Lifecycle Management process by drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and amending medium to high complexity agreements while ensuring high quality legal standards. Ensure proper follow up on assigned legal matters, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and providing timely updates on progress. Support internal corporate governance matters, including coordination with external counsel and preparation of corporate documentation for the Mexican entities. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, providing practical legal guidance that enables teams to move forward efficiently while managing legal risk. Contribute to building and improving internal legal processes, documentation, and presentations to support the scalability of the Legal function. Maintain strong alignment within the Legal team, demonstrating curiosity, ownership, transparency, and a strong execution mindset.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent). 3+ years of experience in a legal function within a law firm, fintech, technology company, or financial institution. Experience in data protection and privacy laws, including familiarity with international, regional, and local regulations. Strong experience in corporate legal matters, including corporate governance, structuring, and commercial legal support. The ability to contribute to commercial and contracting decisions while balancing legal and business perspectives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish. A proactive mindset with strong prioritization skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable leveraging AI tools (e.g., chatbots, copilots, or productivity assistants) to enhance daily workflows and decision-making.

Requirements

Experience in regional tech companies or cross-border deals across Latin America. Exposure to fintech, payments, or financial services regulation. Solid experience designing, implementing, or advising on compliance frameworks and regulatory obligations in regulated environments. Experience working closely with product or commercial teams. You have leveraged AI to fundamentally change the way you work and/or build amazing projects.
