As we enter our next phase of regional growth, we are seeking a senior strategic leader to drive expansion, partnerships and student recruitment performance across East Africa and the UAE.

The Role: Head of Business Development

This is a Director-level leadership position responsible for driving revenue growth, regional expansion, university partnerships and operational performance.

The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO to lead strategy execution and deliver measurable growth across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Expansion

Lead regional office performance and expansion strategy Develop and implement high-impact student recruitment campaigns Identify and secure new university partnerships Grow enrolment numbers across representing institutions

Partnerships & Market Development

Build and maintain senior-level relationships with universities and key stakeholders Represent Uniserv at exhibitions, networking events and international education forums Host and manage strategic networking events

Marketing & Brand Leadership

Oversee marketing strategy execution across regions Work closely with marketing teams to ensure campaigns meet recruitment targets Deliver presentations to schools, institutions and public forums

Leadership & Operational Oversight

Supervise and manage regional teams Conduct staff appraisals and performance management Oversee departmental budgets and resource allocation Develop administrative and reporting systems Provide strategic reports to senior leadership

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a commercially driven, relationship-oriented leader with deep experience in international education.

Essential Experience:

Ideally minimum 5 years’ experience in international student recruitment Experience as Senior International Officer (or equivalent) at a university or college Proven track record of delivering recruitment growth targets Strong understanding of global higher education markets

Personal Attributes:

Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability Strong networking and stakeholder management skills Commercially astute with strong judgment Highly organised with strong attention to detail Willingness to travel extensively across the region

Package

Director-level salary package (Grade 9) Work permits fully arranged and paid Housing provided Performance-based incentives (to be agreed based on targets)

Reporting Line

Reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
