Overview of the role:

We are seeking to appoint a Research Technician to support the activities of the Goodwin Group in the Centre for Neural Circuits and Behaviour. The BBSRC funded Laboratory Technician will be required

to work closely with members of the Goodwin lab providing day-to-day support, as well as work within the technical support team at the CNCB, which shares responsibility for the running and maintenance of the facility.

Selection criteria:

Hold a first degree, together with some relevant experience Background in Biological Sciences is essential, particularly Genetics. Experience in basic molecular biology techniques. Ability to work as part of a team and to collaborate with colleagues on a range of projects. Good written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with the use of computers to include word processing, databases and email. Ability to manage own research and administrative activities Experience of following and adapting protocols and selecting appropriate experimental methodologies Commitment to engaging with, and promoting awareness of, equality, diversity and inclusion and embedding these into your work.
