About this role
We are looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our friendly Maintenance team at St Antony’s College.
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week, worked over five days out of seven) with a salary of £26,707–£30,378 per year, plus an Oxford weighting allowance of £1,730.
About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will carry out a wide range of general maintenance tasks across the College estate. The role is hands-on and varied, combining planned work with reactive repairs. You will work independently on some tasks and alongside colleagues or contractors on others.
Key duties include:
General building maintenance, repairs and renewals Internal and external decorating, carpentry and minor glazing Basic plumbing tasks (e.g. unblocking WCs, tap repairs) Minor groundworks and cleaning gutters and drains Responding to maintenance requests via an online reporting system Inspecting plant rooms and equipment Supporting statutory testing programmes Working safely at height, in confined spaces and outdoors
About you
You will have experience in a similar maintenance role and be comfortable working as part of a small team. You’ll have a good understanding of health and safety practices, confidence using IT systems, strong organisational skills and a flexible, customer-focused approach.
An interest in sustainable maintenance practices is welcomed.
