About this role

Visa Direct is a payment service that Visa provides to clients (issuers, acquirers, processors, merchants and service providers) to facilitate fund transfers/disbursements to Visa accounts around the world using push payment technology, i.e., Original Credit Transaction (OCT). Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g., payments to landscaper), funds disbursement (e.g., insurance claim disbursements), bill payment, cross-border remittance and more. Currently, the push payments market around the world is estimated to be an 80T USD opportunity.

This role will report into the Head of Visa Direct Sales for Asia Pacific on the Visa Direct Specialized Sales Team. This team sits at the cross-section of sales and product with a mandate to accelerate growth for Visa Direct across the Asia Pacific region The Analyst, Visa Direct Business Development and Portfolio Management is a hybrid role covering both new sales and account management. The role will support business development sales activities to accelerate Visa Direct adoption and growth across the Asia Pacific region as well as managing key clients (Banks, Enablers, FinTech’s and merchants) to ensure continued transaction growth and adoption of new solutions.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of building a new ecosystem in the fast-moving world of payments and one of the most important initiatives at Visa.commercial deal origination for Enablers and Banks on the Visa Direct Asia Pacific sales team. The role operates in a fast paced, agile environment, so this person must be proactive and excel with internal and external partners to ensure we achieve our goals.

Responsibilities include:

Achieve annual sales goals of Visa DirectSupport development of the sales strategy for sales acceleration, including determining high potential client targets, use cases and verticals, etc.Supporting the sales lifecycle from prospecting and sales pitch through to launch and ongoing account management in partnership with AEs and other cross-functional partnersAccount management of Visa Direct key clients (Enablers, Banks, merchants and FinTech’s) to perform activities such as but not limited to; business reviews to monitor performance and identify areas of growth to upsell new solutions or capabilities, joint sales pitches with enablers, support enabler sales training sessionLeverage internal and external relationships to identify, build and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure achievement of annual sales targetsLead work to overcome and remove internal and external blockers to achieve sales objectivesWork with finance business partners to structure high value, commercial deal structuresSupport local, in-market sales teams with top priority sales initiativesProvide insight and market intelligence to support regional lead generation and marketing campaignsBuild strong internal and external relationshipsWork with Visa Direct Product and Client Services Teams to support client launches post contract executionThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

5 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD); PhD with 2 years of experiencePreferred Qualifications:

Creative Self-starter with a bias toward action and proven track record for successfully developing, building, launching and commercializing technology products that delight customersBackground of client/partnerships management, sales, and or business development preferably at a global or multi-market levelIndustry related and leadership experience, including experience with commercialization teams, product management, strategy organization and/or management consulting Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong focus on delivering for clientsExcellent listening and communication skills (both verbal and written), and executive presence; must be able to interface with senior client executivesAbility to explain complex business and technical concepts to audiences in an approachable way to influence and drive adaptionPassionate about what you do and excited about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leaderPossess a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and suppliersStrong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating across functional activities, and obtain buy-inAn advanced degree from a top school strongly preferredVisa or financial/payment industry knowledge required; push payments or real-time payments experience a plusAdditional information:
